Mission and Activities
We support French startups as they expand into the U.S. market and to build lasting bridges of innovation between France and the United States. We connect French entrepreneurs with the local players who shape the DMV ecosystem and industries, principally Cybersecurity, Defense, GovTech & RegTech, AI & Data Governance, Space, Medtech & Life Sciences, Energy & Digital Infrastructure, FinTech, and EdTech.
What We Do
- Organize thematic and networking events, and welcome delegations of French startups
- Make introductions to investors, corporates and local experts
- Build lasting partnerships with local tech networks, universities and public institutions
About La French Tech Community
We are a volunteer-led non-profit carrying the French State's La French Tech brand: an initiative of President Macron, an inclusive, action-oriented community open to all: French, Americans, and others. We are building a sustainable community, with a structured board and a hybrid funding model which will eventually be based on memberships and sponsorships. We work alongside what is called the Team France Export, composed of the Embassy of France, Business France, the FACC Washington D.C. and the Conseillers du Commerce Extérieur.
